The Sutherland Reid & Farrar Scholarship program is now seeking applicants for the 2011 intake.
Current HSC students or recent school leavers who are contemplating commencing University Study in a business degree majoring in accounting are welcome to apply for our 2011 program.
Features of the scholarship are:-
- The student studies full time at UNE.
- We pay the scholarship recipient a living allowance to assist in covering the cost of the college accommodation.
- The student works at our office as a trainee accountant in the mid year and end of year University holidays. Anticipated vacation work load would be a minimum of six weeks per year. A market salary for the Trainee Accountant is paid during periods of work experience.
- At the completion of the degree a full time position as an experienced graduate accountant is offered.
- During the period of University study, transfers from full time study to external study and full time work are very welcome.
Requirements
Applicants will be required to:-
- Have completed year 12
- Have gained admission to the UNE Bachelor of Business (Accounting) course
- Be committed to a career in accountancy in a regional centre
- Exhibit community involvement and participate in extra curricular activities
